Opportunity stages in a sales process represent distinct phases in an opportunity's journey from identification to potential closure, aiding sales teams in tracking progress and aligning actions with the customer's buying process. This help file will guide you through how to create different custom stages.
✋ Before we start: please note that the ability to set up opportunity stages in the mOS requires an Admin role.
Accessing the Opportunity Stages screen
To access all the Opportunity Stages, simply click on My Organization on the left-hand side of the screen. After that, select the fifth tab at the top called Settings.
Adding an Opportunity Stage
Adding an Opportunity Stage in the mOS is very straightforward. Just follow these simple instructions:
- Go to the Opportunity Stage screen
- Select +Add stage on the right-hand side
- Write down your Stage Name
- You can also add the Forecast Certainty (Pipeline, Omitted, Upside or Commit) and Forecast Probability (%)
- You can also add a brief Description of the Stage Name
- Once this is done, click Add Stage
After you've finished these steps, your newly created Opportunity Stage will be visible on the screen. You can then utilize it when adding any opportunity within the mOS, ensuring comprehensive tracking of its progress and maintaining alignment within your team.
