I sometimes am asked why on MEDDICC.com, I change which term I use to describe MEDDICC. Sometimes I’ll refer to MEDDIC with one C, other times MEDDICC with two C’s, and occasionally MEDDPICC with the P and the additional C.
As I have said, the vast majority of modern sales organizations now implement either MEDDICC or MEDDPICC. MEDDIC with one C is seen as ‘old school,’ but all three phrases are still used and referenced by Sellers. Therefore I tend to alternate across the variations partly because I don’t want to suggest that one term is irrelevant. Yet, as all of the terms are popular and, therefore, for search engine purposes, it is important to rank well for all three terms.
I am 3x MEDDPICC alumni and 1x MEDDICC alumni. I have implemented MEDDPICC into two companies that I have worked within and have also partnered with three other companies where I have helped them to implement MEDDPICC.
So, there you have it. MEDDIC, MEDDICC, or MEDDPICC – they all work.
Lets also not forget MEDDPICCR which includes Risks.
