Hey there, I'm Andy Whyte and I'm a fan of Sales! I'm the founder of MEDDICC™ and the author of the five-star rated “MEDDICC’ book, I have a sales career spanning over 18 years! I used MEDDIC in multiple companies as an individual contributor and sales leader and even implemented MEDDPICC into two SaaS organizations. People who know me know that I like to say “Nobody ever regrets qualifying out” a lot and I have a passion for the science and art of sales. Away from the day-to-day, I practice my most important role as DAD where I'm a chef, sports coach, taxi and cleaner.
You may be wondering how I became the Founder of MEDDICC...
Here's how it all started;
2001 - 2004 - Working at a five-star holiday resort as a resident DJ and Emcee.
2004 - 2006 - Commission only and door-to-door sales selling home improvements.
2006 - 2008 - SDR > AE at a SaaS company that sold ERP and eCommerce software to the business supplies vertical.
2008 -2013 - Joined a startup selling B2B eCommerce software. Initially in sales before evolving to leadership and marketing.
2013 - 2015 - Joined Oracle as part of their program to bring more 'youthful' sellers to the company who have SaaS sales experience
2015 - 2017 - Joined Sprinklr just as they were crowned a Unicorn back when being a unicorn was a rarity. They were the 17th Unicorn. Learned MEDDPICC with Dick Dunkel here! 🤓
2017 - Moved over to Tealium where they used MEDDICC, but, it wasn't regimented...
2017 - 2019 - Joined Poq at Series A > Series B to lead their sales team and 'enterprise up' their operations.
2019 - 2021 - Joined Branch as MD of EMEA and implemented MEDDIC at EMEA. They were a Series F company.
2020 - Present
